Side strap shoulder bag

I once promised my friend that I would make something for her. My husband suggested to make her a bag, so I made one ---- a side strap shoulder bag. It's not as easy as I thought. I started off with a very beautiful piece of cotton-linen fabric as the outside layer of the bag and cotton canvas as the inner layer. I wanted to add a zipper for the bag and very luckily I found one in my stock at home, a zipper with perfect colour and size to go with the bag!

When I made my first bag, I did not how to sew the bottom of the bag to create a certain depth.
This time I know how!

Sewing a line on each corner then cut the triangle out...

Having an inner layer can make the bag more durable and rigid. They are in the same size.
Zipper needs to go to the inner bag first.

These red clips help stabilizing the position. They are much faster than using 'big head needles'.
I always find inner pockets are very functional, so this time I am making one for this bag too.

Sewing the zipper onto the bag was the hardest part. I was struggling about it and couldn't do it perfectly.... but it looks totally fine from a distance.

This was originally a gift for my friend but because the zipper wasn't done perfectly and one side of the bag wasn't sewn perfectly too, I decided to keep this for myself. I will make a better one for her.....

After a week, I decided to add some touches onto this bag.
Three beautiful buttons I bought online seem to match this bag beautifully!
Also the floral on the side to cover up the imperfection on that area... now it looks perfect!

Eye-liner fabric holder

When I wear my make up to work every morning, the hardest thing is to find my right colour eye-liner. They are always put in a big metal container where I have to take of them all out in order to find the right one. It would be great if there is a holder that I can clearly see the eye-liners standing one by one.... em.... Why don't I make one myself then!!

Outside fabric - cotton & linen, same fabric for making pockets
Inside fabric - cotton canvas

The holder is made based on this reference.

This is the fabric for holding my eyeliners. I am sewing many pockets here.

Cutting extra fabric out.
