My rubber stamps

I love collecting rubber stamps since I was little. My very first rubber stamp was my Chinese name given by our teacher when I was six, grade one in primary school in Hong Kong. Every student had one. We used that to stamp our exercise book cover.

I still remember the mushroom stickers I put it on. The old ink was filled around my name so now when I stamp it, it's not clear anymore.

A good friend of mine asked me to show her my rubber stamp collections so she knows if she'll buy me in the future, there will not any duplicate. So I decided to post my rubber stamps on my blog so not only she knows but I can always look at my stamps even when I am not at home  =)

My mom bought me the first stamp set ----the little twin star
the 'My melody' stamp set right beside it is not an old stamp but I put them together because they both were my favourite characters when I was little.

McMug and Snowman --- 'fai Gwai' standing behind them

Doraemon stamp set
The one at the back is like a ferris wheel. There are 7 characters that I can pick to stamp.

Characters from Studio Ghibli

My husband bought me these 3 sets when he was taking break at work in the downtown underground.
I love the their theme - animal and nature  =)

I carved these rubber stamps myself. The one on the left is my name 'Ting' and the other one was just a strawberry, not too beautifully done, but good enough to impress myself as a beginner!

Hello Kitty and Sentimental Circus

when I was putting this blog together, I suddenly realize I only have one stamp set for one of my favourite characters - relax bear.... oh no....  =(

These 3 stamps are very cute. It's like a roller~ look how cute their movements are!

I got the hello kitty stamp at Hakone. The middle pig was a gift from my friend which she gave to me when I was sick.

The next four stamp sets were a gift from my husband where he found them online.
I love Alice in Wonderland. When we went to Oxford to attend my cousin's wedding, there was a little shop that sells only Alice in Wonderland stuff. I was amazed!
I'm so happy now I can own these beautiful stamp sets!

Not too long ago, my friend from Japan sent me this gift --- another Alice in Wonderland stamp set! What a co-incidence! This set is very different from the one I have but I love it too. They are put in a nice paper box which looks like a book.
Thanks!

I always wonder what the Japanese characters mean in the rubber stamp set. This cute little character with the octopus has always reminded me of Chibi Maruko-chan ----

Yes!!! I am a fan of Chibi Maruko-chan!
We have very similar facial expressions ........

My husband secretly got me this stamp set from the internet which I saw it once in a Japanese magazine. I couldn't believe he found and bought it!
The one on the right is a cute one, her head turns when I press it and she'll give another expression.

These 3 crystal stamps were a gift from good friend in Hong Kong~
She sent me once she found out I like collecting stamps~~

Another characters I like are 'Gaspard et Lisa'. They are originated from children's book series written by Anne Gutman and illustrated by Georg Hallensleben. it's about Gaspard and Lisa who have adventures in and around their home town of Paris, France.

I stamp these alphabet and number stamp sets very frequently! The boxes are so pretty too~~~

This rubber stamp set comes with a pack of postcard - illustrations with a girl, boy and a cat.

Talking about cats, I love cat rubber stamps. The ones below are amazing, I was so glad that I found them on the internet!!!!!

can you guess their meaning?
(from left to right)
'announcing news!'
'thinking'
'drinking milk'
'bless you'

'secret'
'circulation'
'name frame'

'please'
'relaxing'
'congratulations'

The next few sets are very cute and practical. I use them all the times when I write letters to my friend. The stamp expressions have enriched my feelings to the letters!!!!

This set is about sewing!!!

This set is a strange set. I do not know any of these characters but I bought them simply because they were rubber stamps!

I wish to collect my rubber stamps from everywhere around the world~!!!!!!
