Drawing for my friend

I have a good friend that we've known each other for more than 30 years. We haven't stopped keeping in touch since I moved to Canada about 20 years ago. We have enjoyed writing each other, on letters, even after the internet world came. Whenever she wrote, she would always choose the cutest letterset for me. Her first child was born about more than a year ago and so I wanted to draw her something! Wishing her and her child the best always~!~~

My first bag ever made!

I love bags since I was little, but never thought of making one for myself.

After making a couple of window treatments for our rooms, I decided to make a bag for myself. I purchased the fabrics online at ETSY. I had no idea what kind of bag I wanted to make, not even the size or color or if it would have a zipper.....  I designed one from scratch and drafted out on paper as my husband told me, so I could do some calculations before I started to cut any of my fabrics. They were expensive so I couldn't afford to make any mistakes at all!


I took about a weekend to make this bag, which I was very surprised I could actually complete it without making any mistakes.

I went online to learn putting zippers together and pockets with zippers... they were complicated!!!!

but thanks to all the tutorials online, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to complete this project!
